This simple chocolate cake is perfect for any occasion.
- 3/4 cup caster sugar
- 1 1/4 cups self-raising flour, sifted
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder, sifted
- 1/2 cup milk
- Step 1Preheat oven to 180°C/160°C fan-forced. Grease 7cm-deep, 20cm round cake pan. Line bases and sides with baking paper.
Don’t use chocolate cake for cakes with light-coloured icing, as the cake will show through.
